September 26, 2022(2 events) 9:15 am: Beginners Spanish with Wanda - Online – Online ticket sales for this event are closed. 6:30 pm: Walks for Health - Meet point Whiteley Green, Holehouse Lane Car Park – Bollington ‘Walks for Health’ is a programme of short, easy guided walks in and around Bollington designed to encourage new walkers. They provide a great opportunity to enjoy some exercise and meet people. The walks on this programme are weekly on a Monday evening at 6:30pm. There are different start points. All the walks are easy, less than 2 miles in length, with no stiles and gentle slopes. We recommend you wear sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. You may like to bring a drink. There is no charge for these walks. |

September 28, 2022(1 event) 10:15 am: Walk - Upstairs Downstairs - 6 miles – Butley Town, Dumbah Hollow and the Middlewood Way, 6 miles, rated 2 boots. All walks start at 10:15am unless otherwise stated. The cost is £3.00 per walk. On a Wednesday this price includes tea, coffee and biscuits at the end of the walk.
The walks vary in difficulty & length each week and so we have a ratings system to provide information on the difficulty of each one, which is detailed below. If you are unsure of your level, try a short and easy walk first. You can also have a chat beforehand with any of the Bridgend staff to get information on what the terrain may be like. Please bear in mind that the conditions underfoot will vary depending on the weather. Please wear suitable footwear, clothing and equipment. It is also advisable to bring a drink on the walks.
Dogs are welcome to join us on most walks, but should always be kept on a lead. If dogs are not allowed on any of the walks, it will be indicated on the walk information (for example if we go on a path where they are not allowed). All those talking part do so at their own risk. |

October 31, 2022(1 event) 10:15 am: Walks for Health - Meet point Bridgend Centre – Bollington ‘Walks for Health’ is a programme of short, easy guided walks in and around Bollington designed to encourage new walkers. They provide a great opportunity to enjoy some exercise and meet people. The walks on this programme are weekly on a Monday morning at 10:15am. There are different start points around Bollington and surrounding areas each week on a rotational basis. All the walks are easy, approximately 2 miles in length, with no stiles and only gentle or short slopes/steps to climb or go down. Some surfaces and paths we travel are can be rough, uneven or muddy so we do recommend you wear sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. You may like to bring a drink. There is no charge for these walks. These walks have been planned and organised by the Bridgend Centre. A certain basic level of fitness is required to do these walks so please ring the Bridgend Centre if you require any guidance or more information.
