One of our most popular services is ‘Shuttle to the Shops’.
Shuttle to the Shops is a bus service from Bollington every fortnight on a Wednesday afternoon going to various shopping destinations in the nearby area. It is run by the Bridgend Centre and funded by Cheshire Community Foundation. The destinations are run on a rota basis (listed at the bottom of this page).
This service is available to anyone and costs £4 per trip.
For afternoon trips you can catch the bus at the following points: 1:30pm Cotton Tree roundabout, 1:35pm Bridgend Centre, 1:45pm Hawthorn Road and 1:50pm Bollington Cross, Princess Drive.
New for April 2024; two of our trips start in the morning for an extended trip out. The times are 10:55am Cotton Tree Roundabout, 11:00am Bridgend Centre, 11:10am Hawthorn Road and 11:15am Bollington Cross, Princess Drive.
Please be on time as the bus will not be able to wait for you.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate wheelchairs on the bus at this time. We can however accommodate two walking frames, so if you would like to take one please let us know in advance.
The return time will depend on the shopping destination and traffic conditions but we aim to be back in Bollington no later than 5pm. The bus will drop people off at the stops listed above (Bollington Cross, Hawthorn Road, Bridgend Centre and Cotton Tree) and will not be able to go to other destinations.
You will need to register the first time you use the service. Places are limited so you will need to reserve your place on the bus every time you wish to travel. We prefer you to pay beforehand in order to reserve your place. We take can take card payments. Unfortunately, if you cancel or change the date you travel with less than 48 hours’ notice we cannot offer you a refund.
